FinanzOnline [+] - FON [+] - A tax and customs service for individuals
FON [+] is the official service app of the Ministry of Finance and offers the following features:
• News
• personalized dates (tax dates for entrepreneurs, payment dates for family allowances, etc.)
• Calculator (e.g. gross-net calculator)
• Customs area with information on free quantities, free limits, internet shopping, relocation and vehicles
• Tax office search
• Tax Equalization
This tax equalization is a special service for private individuals with income as employees, workers or pensioners. Tax-related expenses - such as income-related expenses or extraordinary expenses - can be recorded easily, electronically and effectively. The entry process is intuitive and intelligently structured to make it easier to enter the receipts. You can choose from a variety of different detection categories. In the background, the entry categories are automatically assigned to the correct key figures for income-related expenses, extraordinary charges and special expenses. This enables the employee assessment (tax equalization or tax return) to be prepared quickly at the end of the year. The direct, secure connection to the financial administration is given from the app. Most of the L1, L1k and L1ab key figures can be determined directly in FinanzOnline [+]. This L1-Light employee tax assessment can also be submitted electronically directly from FinanzOnline [+]. Alternatively, there is also the option of transmitting the key figures determined in FinanzOnline [+] to FinanzOnline in order to complete the employee assessment there.
In the customs area of the app you will find important information and tips on entering Austria. This is how you can quickly and easily find answers to the most common customs-related questions, e.g. B. exemption limits and allowances, etc. Since this part of the app also works in offline mode, it can also be used abroad without any problems and without internet access.
The Digital Office app is required to log in to the FinanzOnline [+] app as an authenticated user. Registration is required for some functions such as querying personal data or for submitting an employee tax assessment. However, most functions of FinanzOnline [+] can be used without registration.

- Call up the preliminary calculation before submitting the employee tax assessment directly in FinanzOnline [+] (similar to FinanzOnline)*
- Automatically generate and submit electronically L1-Light tax return (incl. enclosure forms L1ab and L1k)*
- Or send the recorded L1 declaration (incl. enclosed forms L1ab and L1k) to FinanzOnline for direct completion*
- Export automatically generated key figures at any time for further use (e.g. transmission to a tax consultant or direct entry in FinanzOnline at E1).
- Carry out individual export of expenditure overview, receipts and list of attachments or complete export of tax return data per assessment year
- Automatic "snapshot" creation with the status of the data from the time the tax return was sent to the tax authorities
- Backup function
